Psychotherapy

Physiotherapy is a specialized, hands-on healthcare discipline focused on restoring, maintaining, and optimizing mobility, strength, function, and overall well-being. It helps reduce pain, improve movement, and support recovery so you can return to daily activities, work, or sport with confidence.

Making Space for What Matters

Newport Wellness offers a supportive space to slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and begin moving forward at your own pace.

What is Psychotherapy?

Have you ever had a room in your home that, over time, slowly becomes filled with things you keep meaning to get to? Maybe you placed things in there temporarily because you had people coming over, and you were not sure where else to put them. What maybe started as just a coat, slowly then became two coats, three, four, spare furniture, an extra T.V., clean laundry, dirty laundry, clothes you’ll donate later, and so on. What started out as an easy and harmless storage space then slowly became the room you got used to walking past without opening the door fully to really look inside.

Opening that door can feel overwhelming, especially when you don’t know where to begin.

Psychotherapy can be a lot like opening that door with someone who’s willing to help you sort through everything in the room. Therapy is a safe and supportive space to slow down, explore what’s taking up space in your life, and start making sense of things one piece at a time.

The therapist’s role is not to judge what is in the room, decide what should stay or go, or rush you into sorting through anything you are not ready for. Instead, they are there to support you as you begin making sense of what’s in there.

At the end of the day, it is your room. You decide what to look at, what matters to you, and when you’re ready to look at it.

What can Andrew support you with?

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Burnout
  • Life transitions
  • Self-esteem and confidence
  • Relationship challenges
  • Communication Strategies
  • Identity and personal growth
  • Managing strong emotions
  • Feeling stuck
  • Building healthier coping strategies

You don’t need to wait until the room feels impossible to enter before asking someone to sit with you inside it. Therapy can be the space where you begin sorting through what is there before it becomes too hard to manage on your own, and Andrew would be honoured to hold that space for you.
